Aroa Kainga is located on the South West side of the island - 2 minutes walk from excellent beaches. There are two stylish, airy and spacious well appointed studio bungalows. Tricia has developed lovely gardens of flowers, herbs and fruit trees around and between the bungalows that provide privacy and still enable easy communication between the two. The bungalows are designed for a laid back and relaxing time.
Excellent value, Aroa Kainga Bungalows and Studio Apartment are 2 mins. walk to excellent swimming & snorkeling beaches, including the famous aroa beach, on the south west corner of Rarotonga. There are two stylish, clean, airy, spacious and well appointed studio bungalows and a studio apartment. Each studio bungalow is fully self-contained, with:
- Executive queen bed in a semi-enclosed bedroom with fan, screened door & windows, wardrobe, open storage and mirrors.
- A spacious bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet.
- Kitchenette with fridge/freezer, microwave, electric cook top, toaster, hot water kettle and food storage.
- Each bungalow has ceiling fans, telephone-local calls only, (kiaorana cards for international calls), TV/VCR, Radio/CD player, wireless internet can be organised, charge applies
- The lounge has a futon sofa opening out as a spare queen size bed., comfortable chairs and dining table
- Both bungalows are fully insect screened
- The large outdoor living area includes sun loungers, small table and a BBQ.
Beach towels, Snorkels & masks and a selection of reef shoes, fins (not all sizes) available, fresh fruit, water, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, toiletries-soap, toilet paper) on arrival.
Airport transfers are available at NZ$30.00 per person return trip.

another great value property is Aroa Kainga, two very nicely fitted studio accommodation, set amongst very lush tropical plantings...very spacious for their size and a hop, skip and a jump down the road to a lovely beach and close to the Rarotongan, dairy, restaurant, internet, DVD hire.................

This was our second trip to Rarotonga, and our second stay at Aroa Kainga. Transfers to and from the airport were arranged for us, we were supplied with milk and bread etc. for breakfast, so had nothing to do our first day but relax. Aroa Kainga is set in lovely gardens back from the main road, so is safe and quiet. The walk to the beach takes about two minutes, unless you stop to talk to the neighbours...
Aroa Kainga Bungalows are on the south-west corner of Rarotonga 200m down Onemaru Rd, opposite Aroa beach, between Lagoon Lodges and the Rarotongan Beach Resort and Spa.
Tariff information
The price for Aroa Kainga starts at NZ$770.00 per week [7 nights] for two people. The nightly rate is NZ$110.00 for two people.
An additional person is NZ$20.00 per night.
There is a minimum stay a 4-night minimum for all stays at Aroa Kainga. If you are going to an outer island, the 4-night minimum applies to each segment of your stay with us i.e. stay four nights, go away and come back, stay another 4 nights minimum.

A 5 minutes walk will take you to the local shop for a newspaper, donuts, bread, & milk or dine at the Kaena Restaurant next door.

Wigmores Super store is a short ride to buy a great range of locally produced fresh vegetables and fruit and a wide range of groceries, including alcoholic drinks.
