Makayla Palms - "personal touch & quality service" and is one of the newest properties on Rarotonga. They have a 2 bedroom villa and 2 studios which are all separate and private.
Completed July 2006, they offer boutique accommodation designed for the self-catering holiday. Modern design, open plan spaces and tasteful décor throughout give you an island holiday with all the comforts of home. Tropical planting and thoughtful landscaping provides privacy for each accomodation, an added bonus being personal passionfruit vines and herb gardens.
Makayla Palms is located on the southern side of the island in the district of Titikaveka with the beach and lagoon only footsteps away. The beach is arguably among the premier spots on the island.
The main township of Avarua is 13kms in an anti-clockwise direction and 18kms in the other. The local bus service stops almost at our doorstep. Daily necessities can be purchased at Karl's store immediately next to Kent Hall. Sabu's fresh fruit and veggie stall across the road is less expensive than buying in town and has an excellent array of local produce daily.
The two bedroom villa has an open plan kitchen and living area. There is an expansive kitchen for entertaining and all other self catering requirements including gas hob and oven. The living and dining areas are fully furnished and include a TV and DVD player (with small movie selection). The area walks out onto a full deck for great outdoor living and dining. There are comfortable beds and the bedrooms also have a wardrobe, chest of drawers. For your comfort and safety the villa has air conditioning, ceiling fans, screens and a security safe for your valuables. The bathroom is complete with bath, separate shower and all other amenities. Also attached to the 2-bedroom villa is a carport. There is a shared laundry with tub and washing automatic washing machine.
All guests have complimentary use of kayaks, masks and snorkels, flippers, BBQ and Petanque.
2009 at Makayla Palms....They are always seeking to improve Makayla Palms and are making some exciting changes for 2009...they will be offering breakfasts if required, sunset platters and
wedding packages tailor made for small intimate weddings...Coming to your villa if required are a lovely local couple who will show the ladies how to make the gorgeous eis and the men how to husk and
dessicate a coconut ready to make ika mata!! They also have Moko (Captain Stephen) a charming, colourful local who takes guests fishing as opposed to a full scale charter. As it is so popular we have Inano, another local who does wonderful massages in your villa at your request (additional charge).
